Karen Carr

Karen has been working in the areas of organizational change and effectiveness for over fifteen years and is an associated consultant with the Aligned Leadership Group. Karen brings significant consulting experience and as a founder of Key Organizational Strategies in 1994 has had the opportunity to consult on many corporate change initiatives focusing on how organizations do business and ultimately provide value to their customers. Karen's general areas of work are leadership coaching, organizational alignment; process design and people issues relative to making high impact change a reality. - My work is about helping organizations achieve their desired business goals through excelling at implementing all levels of change.

Karen's most recent focus has been in organizational/leadership/team alignment for maximum organizational effectiveness, coaching senior leadership to ensure their actions mirror the changes that they expect of those they are leading, strategic communication and designing business processes and structures to deliver the desired customer experience. In conducting her work, Karen has worked in many areas of an organization including: operations, marketing, finance, research, human resources and customer service. Some recent clients are McDonald's Corporation, Scientific-Atlanta, Motorola, BellSouth, Ameritech (now SBC) and Household International.

Karen has led and managed many different types of projects over the past 15 years. In doing so, she has leveraged the many tools and models that she has created over the years as well as her strong skills in the areas of leadership coaching, communication, problem-solving and project management. She takes the time to understand the different styles of leaders to help them leverage their strengths to effectively lead change efforts. She applies the discipline of creating plans that are relevant, implementable, and owned by the client. Karen continuously searches for creative ways to best utilize not only human resources but also time and budget resources. Additionally, she seeks to understand the strengths and development opportunities of the individuals working on the projects. By doing this she has been able to fully leverage team member's strengths while at the same time enable them to build and apply new skills. - My clients build relevant skills for future business impact.

Karen maintains a Bachelors of Science in Psychology from Illinois State University and a Masters of Arts in Industrial/Organizational Psychology from the University of Colorado.
